Spartacus is up for adoption!

I spent the day with Spartacus this weekend. What an honor! We had a blast. He got to visit the cats and dogs at Petsmart adoption day and he got to play fetch, run, and jump for the rest of the afternoon.

From his Petfinder profile:
"Spartacus was shot in Central City New Orleans, when a man that had just shot a woman in the head found his way into his back yard while fleeing the scene. The Sula Foundation raised nearly $4,000 to cover the expense of the amputation surgery he needed as a result of the shooting. Unfortunately, while our initial hope was to return him to his family, there was a snag along the way: while the children thought of him as a pet, their mother's boyfriend only wanted him for breeding, so he had no use for him in his new condition. We were happy to take him into our foster program, where he is enjoying life to the fullest on his three remaining legs with his foster sister, Suzie. He is house-trained, is working on crate-training, and only chews his toys. His foster family says that he has very good manners and even knows a few basic commands. Now all he needs is a home of his own"

Spartacus is available for adoption via The Sula Foundation. Find out more about this tripod dog from New Orleans, LA here: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/23250918
